Reviewer’s Thoughts

Dean and Niki were fated for each other even if Niki is prepared to fight it to her dying breath. Just because she’s pregnant doesn’t mean she is mate material. Dean isn’t really ready for a family but he does know that Niki is his mate and he will stop at nothing to keep her and to keep her safe.

I really enjoyed both these characters, and the world that Ms. Gayle has built. They hybrids are interesting and I definitely felt like Ms. Gayle has put a lot of time and effort into building her world and pays attention to all the little details that elevates a story from good to great. I know that I’m a huge fan of all the details working and being there, so I really enjoyed learning so much more about the shifters and past characters from a previous book. I do recommend that readers read Bad Kitty first since those main characters play a very important role in this story.

The only part that I had a small issue with, was how long it took Niki to come to terms with Dean being her mate. I kept thinking that now has to be the time she gives in, since it was very obvious that she loves Dean and that motivates her need to run and protect him.

I recommend this story for fans of shifter romance with a very strong heroine. She’s definitely the very definition of a strong heroine. She’s capable of taking care of herself and her child but watching her surrender to Dean made my heart melt.
