Reviewer’s Thoughts

Dr. Marissa Roberts has dated for years but has never found the man of her dreams.  After a few dates, they don’t even hold her interest anymore.  However, lately her fantasies, take a slightly masochistic turn and a frank conversation sends her on a journey of self-exploration.  Marissa is such a strong and focus woman when it comes to work but at home she needs someone to take control.  It takes a strong woman to not only face their needs but also go on the journey to get them.

Cam Wilder is a nurse at the same hospital where Marissa works. In fact, they run into each other several times a day.  Cam is a Dom outside of work.  He has dates several woman over the years and has not found the perfect woman for him.  He wants a woman that is also a submissive that will allow him total control.

The chemistry between Cam and Marissa is blistering.  I loved how well they both fit together.  Cam was very good at going at a pace that allowed Marissa to explore her needs without over welling her.  That connection is what I think saved Marissa when a stalker captures her.  I also liked that Ms. Thompson also put Marissa in therapy to help her cope after her ordeal.

This book is very well written with a great ending.  The world Ms. Thompson created seems to leap off the pages of this book.  I had a tough time putting this book down.   This is one of the few books that I can see rereading in the near future.   The main characters and the secondary characters were not just realistic but appealing as well.  I really hope we get to see these characters again.  There seems so many potential stories just waiting to be told.
