Reviewer’s Thoughts

“To Love and Obey” from Mardi Maxwell is so well written, you become totally immersed in the story…right away. It grabs you by the throat and drags you kicking and screaming into the lives of the Ramsey brothers and their exclusive BDSM club, Club Mystique.

Addison Mathews, the daughter of privilege, has known Cade Ramsey for most of her life, and she’s loved him just as long. Cade has decided that Addison would be the perfect wife and mother, but he’s keeping a HUGE secret from her.

That’s as far as I go. You know I hate to give away spoilers. Be aware…this is NOT your Mother’s romance. It’s a BDSM story, so there are plenty of spankings, toys, and other goodies. Those scenes are VERY hot. However, it’s not sex for sex’s sake. Every single one of them has a place in the plot.

Another thing that makes this a great book is the background characters. This is Cade Ramsey’s story, but his four other brothers play an important role in it. They have such different personalities, and it was really fun to see them interact. Also, the men that Cade works with at the security agency are awesome! They’re hilarious while still taking their jobs seriously. I certainly hope that we’ll be reading their stories soon.

All in all, “To Love and Obey” gets four stars because it’s such a powerful book, and it will stick with you long after you shut your Kindle down.
