Reviewer’s Thoughts

Marcus Stark is a hot and sexy man who is still in love with his ex of five years.  Maybe there is a pull because his ex disappeared without a reason as to why.  Marcus has made a life for himself as well as a lucrative business.  Marcus is also a Dom who enjoys BDSM play.  When Marcus finds out his ex, Trevor is coming to his Island Marcus sets out to find out why he left.

Trevor Dawson is a submissive who after five years is ready to face the past he left behind and tell Marcus why he left, even if it hurts him.  Trevor seems to be lost and depressed.  Trevor also seems to be caught up with punishing himself for leaving Marcus.

The connection between Trever and Marcus is intense.  They seems to be a good match for each other if they can get past their past.  The sex scenes were blistering.  That seems to be the one thing that no matter how bad communicate with each other goes right.

Mine at Midnight is the first book in the Boys of Sinn Island by Leah Blake.  I found this book very well written with a realistic plot.  The main characters and secondary characters are interesting. The ending of the book was a bit predictable but the focus of the book is more about the journey Marcus and Trevor undertake to get back together.  The only thing that bugged me about this book was that I could have been much longer than it was.  Overall, this was a great book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
