CIA - CM Doporto

We have CM Doporto with us today sharing her top 5 book boyfriends.  Are any of yours on her list?  Help me in welcoming CM to Cocktails and Books.

Top 5 Book Boyfriends

Who’s your favorite book boyfriend(s)? Is he clean shaved, have a beard, or a slight five o’clock shadow? Does he have virgin skin or tattoos covering his body? Can you run your fingers through his long, messy waves or is his hair styled in a perfect mold, giving him that GQ look? Does he dress like a model from Express or Abercrombie and Fitch, or does he wear a suit and tie, or maybe he’s just a jeans and T-shirt type of guy? What ever look does it for you, there are a variety men that can fit the perfect image of a book character.

I polled my fan club on Facebook to see what everyone had to say about their top five book boyfriends. Here’s what they said (in no particular order):

Travis Maddox from Jamie McGuire’s Maddox Brother’s Series.

Travis Maddox is the epitome of the typical bad boy that has women swooning the moment they see him. He’s tall and handsome, has a body that makes you weak at the knees, is covered in tattoos, and best of all, is an underground fighter. Underneath all the muscles and bad boy image, is a young man that has scars and past hurts like anyone else. All it takes is meeting the right girl, Abby Abernathy, to settle that wild streak and make him feel things he’s never experienced for a person of the opposite sex.

Raven Davenport from the University Park Series by CM Doporto.

Raven Davenport, aka The Raven. He’s Park Hill University’s star quarterback that has women dying to get caught in his trap. Tortured by childhood demons and past hurts, he struggles to walk a straight line and finds himself constantly in trouble. Surprisingly, its not his bad boy image or perfect body that captures his college tutor, Lexi Thompson’s attention, but rather the sweet and affectionate personality that isn’t afraid to show her how he really feels. His lack of perfection and constant struggles, don’t turn her away either and she’s determined to convince him that he can achieve his dreams of playing pro football and be all that he was meant to be.

Roman Anderson from Cambria Hebert’s #Hashtag Series.

O Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? What did the ladies have to say about Alpha U’s #24 football player? He’s beautiful, strong, caring, loving, brave, romantic and super HOT! He loves with almost the same passion he has for football and falls for the nerdy tutor, Rimmel. He’s not afraid to stand up for the girl he loves and protects her at all cost.

Rye Clanton from Breaking Even, The Sterling Shores Series, by C.M. Owens.

Rye and Brin are neighbors but neither one of them expects to fall for each other since they are nothing alike. Rye has a sense of humor, ability to mess up and only half admits defeat. His temper gets him in trouble and he’s uncomfortable with emotions. But that doesn’t stop sweet Brin. Oh yeah, and did I mention his chiseled body is covered in tattoos and just the right amount of piercings? Total book boyfriend material.

Chance Bateman from Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

I will admit, looking at this picture and reading the teaser makes me want to read this book! Chance helps Aubrey when her car breaks down at a rest stop and they end up traveling together. The sexy, witty, cocky Aussie is laid back but knows how to lure Aubrey out of her shell as they make several detours along the way. He’s caring and selfless and not afraid to show his love for Aubrey. Did I mention he rides a motorcycle? That’s an automatic entry for book boyfriend material!
