Is it the way they talk? Is it the way they walk? Perhaps it is the confident nature that shines through in every situation. Personally, I believe it’s a combination of all three. Whatever it is though, let’s face it, there is just something about a man in uniform that makes us all look twice. Nine authors, nine stories featuring men in uniform in some way or shape. Whether is is a pilot, a police officer, a park ranger or a chef, these men wear a uniform and with their air of authority, they wear it well.

Although I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never read any of the authors involved in this anthology, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying this collection. Id’s like to start off by saying that apparently these stories all take place in towns where gay men do not fear walking up to complete strangers and coming propositioning them. That being said, each story was enjoyable in their own right. There was no real stand out in this anthology. Reading it, I felt that all of the stories were well written and the characters enjoyable. The stories fit well together and seemed to flow very well.

If you happen to enjoy MM stories that are cute and sweet without the over the top steaminess that seems to flood the genre at times, Love in Uniform is the way to go. Don’t get me wrong, there is an almost instant spark of lust in some of the stories in this collection. However, the overall feel is one of the characters connecting on a deeper level. I would definitely read any one of these authors again and recommend others give them a try as well.
