What happens when a single mother is forced to live with a grumpy, ailing football star? The smolder turns red hot of course.

Amanda Shaw has pulled it together. It’s taken a couple of years, a boatload of hard work, and a ton of self-discipline, but she finally has her problems in a headlock. Her yoga studio in the city has become so successful she’s opening one near the beach, and her relationship with her ten year old son is improving every day. The last thing she needs is a monkey wrench thrown into her smoothly running life.

Grant Hendricks is one big monkey wrench. The four time Defensive Player of the Year, three time NFL sack leader, and all around football god has officially hit rock bottom. A devastating back injury means he may have to retire and that scares him more than doctors telling him the next hit could leave him paralyzed. All he needs is a quiet place to think and his teammate’s beach house sounds like just the place. Problem is, the woman already living there.

You know the drill, folks. This book is chock full of naughty words and steamy moments. Not for delicate sensibilities and anyone under 18.

BULLDOZER is an intense, funny love story about two flawed people falling for each other and trying their hardest to resist their feelings. This is the third book in the Hard to Love series and each book is a stand alone but all the characters are interconnected.  The stories revolve around the world of professional football. This one is about Grant, a linebacker, recovering from back surgery.

Grant and Amanda are thrown together when they discover they are both staying at Amanda’s brothers beach house.  Grant is not happy when he finds himself sharing a house with Amanda and her eight year old son and he lets Amanda know it at every opportunity.  Grant and Amanda are realistic, unforgettable characters. I easily connected with them and was cheering for them as they slowly put their shields down and let themselves enjoy being with each other. I laughed at all their bantering and arguing and cried at their lack of confidence in themselves. This well written, slow burn story sucked me in and held me spellbound.

Amanda was a wild child and she still feels guilty for all of her past mistakes. She has low expectations from life because she has had so many bad breaks. She doesn’t allow herself to enjoy life because she doesn’t think she deserves it.  Her only goal is to be the best mom possible and to see her son smile. She has a lonely existence working at her yoga studio and taking care of her son.

Grant has dedicated his life to football and he is one of the best linebackers in the league.  His life is empty of love, family or friendship and he has a lot of secrets that he keeps locked up inside him. Not only is Grant dealing with recovery from back surgery and wondering if he can still compete, he also has issues from his childhood, which make him shy away from relationships. Under Grant’s gruff exterior, he is thoughtful, sensitive, caring and Amanda is it for him.  He is also wonderful with Amanda’s son, Sam.

I loved all the sexual tension between Grant and Amanda. I was cheering them on and at other times, yelling at them.  They have no idea how a relationship works or how to be in one. I loved the banter between them and all the funny lines.  I highly recommend this one.
