New Release: Here Lies North by Ava Harrison

When I pick up a book by Ms Harrison, I know that I am going to be in for an experience and that things most likely aren’t going to go the way I think they will. Here Lies North fits that bill!

Layla and Cain are both interesting characters and their instant connection pulls the reader in. From the very beginning, Ms Harrison crafts an experience that sparks curiosity and even a little suspicion about motives and what might be behind the curtain.

I appreciated the way the story unfolded and how there continued to be surprises. There were a couple of things that I found unsettling. The biggest were in regards to the way Layla dealt with some of the quirks Cain presented and unresolved questions. I won’t dive into those deeper, mainly because I think some of these are personal preference and I think everyone experiences books a little differently. Here Lies North is an engaging read that I didn’t want to out down, so it’s definitely one I recommend.
