Football is one hundred percent the focus of my life—until a squawking toddler, with a temper to rival my own, lands in my lap and flips my life upside down.
I’ll never be Dad of the Year. Anyone will tell you that. Except maybe Sienna, my sister’s former roommate, who somehow manages to make my broody ass laugh and sees something in me no one else does.
When Sienna offers to let me and my little princess move in with her, I’m not sure if it’s to help or because she wants revenge on my teammate and long-time rival, who broke her heart.
Either way, I’m game. Because I need to get my ex off my back, and Sienna doesn’t mind pretending to be my girlfriend.
Only neither of us is ready for the sparks that fly between us or the consequences when they do.
★ What you can expect:- single dad- small Texas town- sports romance (football)- college (seniors)- fake dating- friends to lovers- diverse backgrounds- slow burn but steamy!

I don’t know what it is about this Varsity Dad’s series, but I devour them when they come out.  In this next entry in the series, senior tight-end Ben discovers he has a toddler and enlists his sister’s friend to help him.

Ben, high-strung and trying to deal with that along with his role on the football team, discovers he’s the father to a two-year-old toddler with his ex-girlfriend (who is using the kid to weasel her way back into his life).  Sienna lives across the street from the team house and is good friends with Ben’s sister.  Ben is there for her in a moment of need so she readily offers her help, Ben, with his daughter and thwart his ex’s advances with a fake relationship.

Ben and Sienna were very hot together.  Their chemistry was off the charts.  I enjoyed their relationship with one another as they got to know each other and finally gave in to their chemistry.  It was rather ironic that Ben’s major was in a field that she was trying to run away from.  But I also think that helped her be a bit more forgiving of her father or maybe push her to stand up for herself

This was a fast read with the perfect amount of fun, angst and smexy times.  It was the perfect break from the high fantasy, world-building extreme, books I’ve been reading lately.
