Reviewer’s Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book.  Mostly because Winter and Cade got to do the one thing I wanted to do when I graduated from high school, go to the Sorbonne.

Cade was a big, tough cowboy who was really damaged by the way his family handled he and his brothers.  His father was determined to force his son to take up the reigns of the family business, despite what Cade wanted to do himself.  Cade fled to Paris hoping he’d be able to focus on his passion, architecture, and find a way to live his life the way he wants without being cut off from his family.

Winter wanted to be a romance writer, but she’d never been in a relationship where she could draw from her personal experiences to make her characters more real.  But when she meets Cade, she starts to discover all the things she was missing by living for her writing and nothing else.

I didn’t really like Winter’s best friend, because she was a bit of a loose cannon and I felt like she sometimes used Winter to get what she wanted, but Cade was always there to look out for Winter and make sure she was safe and happy.

I look forward to more in this series.
