Her final exams are extremely stressful and Lydia is worried about her grades.

On the morning of her last examination, Lydia awakens to discover that her troubles are just beginning.

She receives a gift from a friend that changes her life.

Lydia is a normal college student who experiences life’s ups and downs. She is worried about her future, her grades, her friends and her life.  Lydia struggles to keep it all together after a breakup with her boyfriend Lucas and the betrayal of someone she called a friend.

Lucas is the estranged boyfriend who doesn’t know what he wants.  He decides to end his relationship with Lydia to pursue one with her friend.

Karen and Amber are Lydia’s best friends, who have known her forever.  They are strong characters who stand by their friend and try to encourage her to forget the past and move on with the future.

BFF and the Secret Santa is a book about what true friendship is between friends.  It takes you on a journey through the life of college and growing up.  The setting of the book mostly takes place within a week time period.  With some flash backs and a minor jump into the future.  It includes alot of details regarding the setting of each place they visit or stay.  The author has written the book almost in a screen play format, and don’t leave much to the imagination. The book has a very slow start and is hard to follow, mostly due to the over details and lack of story line.  However  it does take a very unexpected twist around the last 30 pages, making you wonder where it came from.  If you can make it to this point of the book you will be pleasantly surprised.
