Reviewer’s Thoughts

This is the second book of the Arcadians series by Laurie Roma and I must say that it is as good if not better than the first book. I loved the storyline behind this book, it made you feel like you were completely in touch with the characters.

Raven is a strong, stubborn and willful character, she was a police officer on earth and while she is having a terrible day on earth nothing can prepare her for what happens when the gods strike her down with lightning and bring her to Arcadia. She is thrust into an alien world that is new and completely different from earth. When she drops in on a celebration being put on by a Trio of Kings on Arcadia, chaos reins. The minute that Tristan and Kaden see her they know that she had to have been sent from the gods to take as their mate. She is not sure what to make of the rather large men she comes face to face with on her arrival. What really touched me though was Savitar’s story in this. I love how Raven and him connect, what he has endured made my heart break. Raven saves him as much as he saves Raven throughout the first part of the story. When it comes time to connect with the other two brothers the chemistry is just as strong and I love how each has his own issues in trying to win her heart.

What each of these four characters had to endure and go through just to have a happy ending really touched me from the good to the bad. I thought the sex scenes in this book were really well written and if you love some kink and multiple partner action in your stories then this will not disappoint you at all. I loved the mystical part of this book as well with the God and Goddess and of course my favourite mythical creatures, the Dragons.

Hard to put down, I read this in a day and I must say I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. The author draws you into the story and takes you on a ride that just keeps getting more exciting the further into the book you read. She gives fantastic and realistic descriptions of the characters, their surroundings and a glimpse at who they really are. She has an amazing imagination and a wonderful way of putting pen to paper to make you feel like you are right there living in this alien world. There was a bit of everything in this book as well, suspense, action, and of course an amazing love story. I would definitely recommend this book!
