22461936It happened, just as she was leaving work…

Olivia Todd wanted nothing more than to drive home to her cabin in the woods after a hard day’s work. But after she encountered a brawny “creature” that had other plans for her, the curvaceous nurse’s uneventful life would never be the same.

He sank his teeth into her flesh…

At first Olivia thought it was a dog bite. But that night, when her body became a boiling pot of lust and her thirst for release could not be quenched on her own, she began to wonder. Just what happened to her? Where did these animalistic urges and heated craving for sex—hard, fast, and rocking—come from? A visit from detective Callan Goldstein gave her some answers, but left her body craving more than he could give her.

Encountering Alaric Bridgewater changed all that…

When Olivia came face to face with that thing…that being who’d claimed her…transformed her…she knew she must have Alaric in her bed. But she wanted his good friend Callan too. With two tempting males there for the taking, what’s a newly formed werewolf to do?

This 15,000-word ménage romance is part one of a series. It contains STRONG, SEXUAL CONTENT and is intended for ADULT READERS ONLY (18 years and over).

Reviewer’s Thoughts

As much as I would love to say that I enjoyed reading The Alphas & Olivia, I have to admit that unfortunately it just didn’t set the right cord with me. The story line was just a bit too rushed for me. Between Olivia being attacked by a rouge wolf and the supposed but unlikely happy ending was all of two nights… one full day. Although it had an interesting concept, this is one of those stories that could definitely have used some filler.

A few things just didn’t add up for me. Olivia is a nurse. How then does it make sense if she is attacked by what she thinks is a pitbull while walking to her car at the hospital parking lot does she not just turn around and get herself checked out at the hospital she just exited? Instead, for this medical professional, it somehow makes sense to get behind the wheel and bleed all the way home after being attacked by a rabid dog. I guess the idea that she could possibly need stitches or hell… shots to prevent disease, never occurred to her. At the very least it makes me question her ability as a medical professional. At most, I question her intelligence and common sense.

The fact that Olivia is obviously not very bright brings me to my other issues with this story. Upon looking at the bite for herself when she gets home, she just knows it’s a werewolf bite? I read a lot of paranormal, but if I got bit by a wolf, I’m going to think rabid wolf, not I got bit by a werewolf does that mean I’m a werewolf now? After all, I’d be a medical professional, not a 15 year-old girl chanting “Team Jacob.” Werewolf would never cross my mind. She finds a strange man in her house. Does she shoot first and ask questions later? No, she trips, shoots a cop and comes face to face with the wolf. Is she concerned with how the wolf found her? No. She’s turned on and wants to make sure the police detective doesn’t kill him. This is the werewolf that attacked her, yet rather than be concerned about that tiny little detail; it seems a blip on her radar. Instead she is more concerned with sex. Apparently this medical professional not only has the mental capacity of an idiot, but she’s a nympho to boot. Our characters go from single to a happily ménage relationship in the span of one day. I’m not even getting in to how someone cannot even tell if they recognize their own best friend when looking at them right in the face.

So there you have it. When I read the blurb, I had high hopes for this one. It sounded interesting and maybe like something I would enjoy. However, in my opinion it did not live up to the expectations of this reader. Perhaps someone else would feel differently. However, my advice? Read at your own risk.
