Ethan Frost returns in the breathtaking conclusion to New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tracy Wolff’s seductive novel Ruined—perfect for fans of Release Me and Bared to You.

As Chloe Girard discovers, there’s love . . . and then there’s addiction.

Ethan Frost is everything a woman could want in a man. He’s rich, gorgeous, powerful, one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.

But that’s not why I’m with him.

I love Ethan for all the things no one else gets to see: his innate kindness, his reckless spontaneity, his unwavering determination to use his brilliance for good. I love the way he looks at me, the way he touches me. The way he makes me forget the wreckage of my past and the twisted fear that still lives inside me.

But sometimes it terrifies me how much I crave him, how much I need him just to breathe. I always thought it would be my past that ruined us, but there’s a darkness in Ethan I never dreamed existed. Can we survive as his secrets surface—threatening to unravel us both?

I really wanted to love this book. I really did. After the cliffhanger from book 1 and i really did enjoy Ruined as a whole I was expecting a lot more from this book.I feel like it’s not finished, that there is still more to come.I was hoping to see how the characters coped, more development and to see how it would all work out.

Addicted is the conclusion to Ethan and Chloe’s story. Book 1, Ruined, left off with a huge cliffhanger (Ethan’s brother showing up on his doorstep).  If you haven’t read Ruined, don’t read Addicted.  You need to read them in order or the story will mean little to you.  Ethan is the CEO of Frost Industries, a biomedical technologies company and in Ruined, we see that Chloe has worked extremely hard and won an Intellectual Property Law internship at his company. Their first encounter is one I remember fondly, Ethan made her a smoothie, she has no idea who he is, and the conversation between the two of them is pretty hilarious.  Of course, there was an instant attraction that quickly became a romance.  There is a hitch to all of this: Chloe is deeply troubled because she was raped in high school and then forced to keep quiet about it. Chloe and Ethan have a hard time forming a relationship because of her past and it seems they might not make it.  Then Ruined ends in a fantastic cliffhanger….

I couldn’t wait for Addicted and to find out what would happen.  I wanted to love this book but I mostly ended up a bit dissatisfied and not enjoying Chloe.  Chloe seemed weak and not capable of being a strong heroine.  I can appreciate how bad her past was but I felt that she wallowed in it.  Constantly whined about it.  And in general drove me nuts.  Ethan was generally better in the story line but he kept making the same mistake over and over again by withholding information for Chloe.  Seriously, he is a CEO, I would imagine he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

At the end, the reader gets a HEA but I have to say I didn’t REALLY care at that point.  It also seemed to come quickly and out of nowhere.  I didn’t think they were ready for it….oh and did I say I was annoyed with Chloe.  She was stuck in the past, couldn’t move past it and was constantly running away from Ethan.

I also was dissatisfied with the general storyline.  I felt there were pieces left hanging….Brandon being the largest one.   This book could have strong secondary storylines between Ethan and his mother, Ethan and his brother, Chloe and her parents/brother and they just mentioned with little detail or fanfare.  I wanted more.  If you read Ruined, then eventually read Addicted so you get a HEA for Chloe and Ethan.
