Reviewer’s Thoughts

Grant Gentry is a man’s man.  He’s honorable, loves his family, and hasn’t been with a woman in nearly a year.  He finds himself injured and in the very capable hands of Julia Cutler.  Julia knows firsthand what it will take for Grant to heal from his wounds.  She works with the sisters that helped her recover to get Grant back on his feet.  The author does an excellent job of showing the multiple layers of Julia and Grant’s characters.  I was easily able to follow the flow of their relationship and see how it was determined by the things that each had experienced.

The storyline drew me in from the beginning and kept me hooked.  In addition to the sizzling hot chemistry between Julia and Grant the author also added elements of suspense to the plot.  I was expecting Grant’s brother or Julia’s former lover to pop up at any time and send the story in a different direction.  I was on edge hoping for the best for both of them.  The author did a great job of making a short story full of details without seeming to be rushed.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
