Ford was a character that I liked in the first two books, but I wasn’t sure how I felt about him as a leading man. The duo behind Piper Rayne did an excellent job of peeling back the layers so that we could see the man behind the playboy persona and understand some of his previous motivations a little better.
Lena is someone that I had respect for from the beginning and I just liked her more as I got to know her. She was a great balance to Ford and they played off each other well.
I also appreciated how Ford and Lena’s story stood well on its own while being a great part of the Hockey Hotties series. We see our main characters evolve emotionally and touch on key issues to both of them. To do this they get help from friends and family, but the secondary cast doesn’t over power things. With the glimpse we saw of what might be coming next for the Florida Fury, I am very curious!
