21844376When Teresa Rodriquez returns to Racy under mysterious circumstances, police sergeants and Doms Carson Decker and Garrett Amato discover that more than gossip followed her home. While they can’t help falling in love with her, they must also contend with a man from her past hell bent on having her at all costs.

Teresa ran away from her abusive ex-boyfriend more than once, and each time he’s found her. As she falls in love with Carson and Garrett, she’d lulled into a false sense of security that this time she is safe from him, and from her past, forever.

But during the May 3 celebration marking the anniversary of the tornado that devastated Racy one year ago, Teresa is kidnapped in broad daylight. Can Carson and Garrett find her in time? Or will they lose the woman they each cannot live without?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Oh, I am so completely thrilled with “Collaring Their Racy Runaway” from Tara Rose! It was an entertaining read from beginning to end. I love every single one of Tara’s books. She’s never disappointed me, and her record is still intact with this story.

This is the tale of Teresa, the sister of several well known residents of Racy, Indiana. She’s had such a difficult time in her life. She left Racy right after high school graduation, and she’s always found herself among all the wrong people, and worse, an on and off boyfriend who is a violent criminal. Now, she’s come home to escape her past and start new.

Carson and Garrett (love those names, by the way) are police officers. They each find themselves attracted to Teresa. Not only is she beautiful, but the vulnerability she projects stirs their protective/dominant side.

No more spoilers. You have to read this one yourself. It’s fast paced, for sure. Love blossoms quickly, but it doesn’t feel rushed (if that makes sense). The sex scenes are smoking!  The BDSM is an important part of those scenes, but it’s not uncomfortable. Also, what I liked about that is the spankings, floggings, etc., don’t feel so much like punishment. It seems like it’s mostly just for pleasure. Sure, there’s a scene where she’d said something like “you earned a punishment for that”, but everyone is smiling, and it’s playful.

As always, Tara Rose writes some good action into “Collaring Their Racy Runaway.” It makes the heart pound and leads to a very satisfying conclusion.

I read this book in two nights. It would have been one, but my eyes rebelled at 2:00 am the night before last. This is book twelve of the Racy Nights series. It can be read as a stand alone, but you’re so much better off if you read them all from the beginning as the characters do cross back and forth. I highly recommend this one, whether you’re already a Tara Rose fan, or if this is your first trip to Racy. The writing is smooth. The characters are so well fleshed out, and you WILL want to pack your bags to visit 🙂
