I have been with the Rooftop crew since the beginning (I did miss Seth’s story and need to go back and read it) so Knox is a character I’ve been curious about for a while.
When we meet him here, he is on the verge of a career change and two women from his past reappear. One is a former love, the other someone he should have taken a chance on and didn’t.
I appreciated how the duo behind Piper Rayne brought these ladies back into Knox’s world and let him figure out his feelings/attraction to both. The response of his friends to both ladies cemented which one we really liked! This read also highlighted the insecurities that can come up in relationships and how they need to be addressed to move forward.
As the 5th book in the Rooftop Crew series, The Do Over is technically a standalone. BUT – and a big but – is that the cast of characters for this series is heavily intertwined and events of the previous 4 books are referenced here with regularity. I would not recommend jumping into the series with this book, but instead make sure you read at least some of the other books first. This is a series I have enjoyed and I am looking forward to the conclusion with Jax.
