18309801Married in the morning…

Professional heartbreaker Mike Worth thrived on the chase—and dancer Morgan Collins represented the ultimate prize. But there was no way he was going to throw away his single-man status…not even for an elusive redhead with sparkling eyes and mile-long legs. So how did he let one drunken Vegas night end with I do instead of hell no?

Morgan’s life revolved around her career and she had no intention of letting a man interfere—even if Mike made her question all her rules about love. At his urging, she reluctantly agreed to give their spur-of–moment marriage a chance. But once their trial-honeymoon ended, would she choose to follow the dance and leave her unforgettable husband behind?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Diane Alberts amazes me.  Why?  Because she manages to create these stories for Entangled that are hot, sweet and hard to put down.

In TAKE ME, we finally get to meet the woman that manages to knock Mike Worth on his ass.  And the mighty have fallen fast and hard.

Mike Worth was determined to love’em and leave’em.  But when he meets Morgan, the female version of himself, he suddenly finds all his reasoning for swearing off relationships, love and marriage a load of crap.  Now he’s determined to prove that he’s more than his “stop light” theory and he can be everything Morgan wants and doesn’t realize she needs.

I loved how hard and fast Mike fell for Morgan.  He absolutely deserved to find a woman who was just like him and brought him down.  Without realizing what happened, he fell for the dancer and didn’t want to let her go.  He faced a very uphill battle, against his own prejudices, coming out of the mouth of the woman he didn’t want to be without.  You felt bad for him.  He may have spewed his nonsense around to his buddies, but he knew immediately that things were different with Morgan.  It scared the hell out of him, but he was willing to try a relationship with her.  Unfortunately for Mike, Morgan wasn’t so willing.

Morgan was adamant she wasn’t going to let any many stop her from living out her dream.  When she met Mike and overheard his little speech to his friends, she figured he was just like everyone else.  But fate stepped in and tied Morgan to Mike.  She may not have been happy about that, but she was willing to give him a week to live out their relationship fantasy before moving on.  Mike pushed Morgan for more and she continued to run away from anything that seemed like a commitment, but when Mike finally gives Morgan what she wants, she realizes that everything she thought she believed it was a lie when it came to Mike.

I really enjoyed this one and wish it could have been a bit longer, just so I could have more time with Mike and Morgan.  They were an absolute pleasure to read and I wanted more of both of them struggling with their quick emotional attachment to the other.  That said, this novella was hard to put down and one that I savored as I read through the pages.
